Chad Gordon

AT LARGE OFFICER

Chad Gordon is a trial attorney with a long history of support and advocacy on behalf of Native Nations and Native People. With advanced degrees from U.C. Santa Barbara, UCLA, and the UCLA School of Law, Chad began his legal career as an attorney in a major international law firm practicing Indian Law for many gaming tribes in Southern California and across the country. Chad also worked as in-house counsel for several tribes and is now in private practice focusing on personal injury and real estate litigation. As a licensed real estate broker, Chad has also assisted tribes and many Native families in commercial, land, and residential real estate transactions. Chad volunteered as a legal liaison for protesters and Native warriors during his time on the Standing Rock Reservation during the pipeline protest.

An enrolled member of the Muscogee Creek Tribe, Chad reveres his grandfather’s stories of resistance and his experiences as a youth in boarding schools in Oklahoma. While a student at the UCLA School of Film and Television Extension Program, Chad wrote a screenplay based in part on his grandfather’s experiences.

Given the invaluable gift of perspective as a two-time brain tumor survivor, Chad donates a considerable amount of his professional time providing free legal counsel to the homeless, veterans, and low-income families at various legal clinics across Southern California.
